Me a Mama Antenatal Classes

Our antenatal classes help you focus on your pregnancy and get you ready for whichever labour option you choose, as well as preparing you for the early days at home with your baby. They are also a great place to meet other parents-to-be. We will start from the beginning and take you on a learning journey that will inform, prepare and empower you and your partner with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make your birth, and first few weeks of parenthood, be a positive and joyous occasion. The experience of pregnancy and the birth of your baby will be one of your most memorable and life changing experiences.

Our Me a Mama antenatal classes are unique. The classes are fun and interactive. Sessions are tailor-made for the needs of the group, so all the material and information is relevant to you - not just a run of the mill syllabus. To prepare you and your partner for what lies ahead, not only will you partake in hands-on activities, you will have the opportunity to tour a hospital labour ward.

We also run antenatal courses for second time parents. The jump from first to second child is often underestimated. We'd like to prepare you and your family for what's to come, as well as refresh your knowledge and keep you updated on research and changes in birth practise.

Emma Numanoglu, the co-ordinator of Me a Mama antenatal classes, is a Registered Nurse with distinctions in Midwifery, Psychiatry and Community with additional courses in: Perinatal Education, Counselling, Epidural Management, Advanced CPR, Breastfeeding, Nursing Management and Palliatative Care complemented her formal nursing training. Being a mother of two babies, she understands the ins and outs of pregnancy, birthing, family dynamics and raising children. She will guide you through the journey, so that it is memorable for all the right reasons.
